GSTN Issues Advisory on Re-Computation of Interest Under Table 5.1 of GSTR-3B
On April 16, 2026, the Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) issued an important advisory regarding the re-computation of interest under Table 5.1 of GSTR-3B.
The advisory informs taxpayers that the system-calculated interest for the February 2026 tax period has been incorrectly calculated and auto-populated in the March 2026 GSTR-3B return.
GSTN further advised that this advisory is very important for taxpayers, as it includes all the necessary information and processes that need to be followed by the taxpayer for the correct calculation of the interest.
