GSTR-3B Due Date for the month of April 2022 to be extended: CBIC
This is the time for filing GSTR-3B Returns and this time taxpayers were facing a new issue while doing Input Tax Credit (ITC) matching for filing their Returns.
The issue was that in certain cases the Invoice of the vendor was not reflected in GSTR-2B even if the GSTR-1 was filed on Time and with correct Invoice details.
On the 15th of May 2022, GSTN released an advice on GSTR-2B for the month of April 2022 that Taxpayers may claim ITC as per GSTR-2A on a self-assessment basis till the technical team resolves the issue of missing entries in GSTR-2B.

As per Latest update by Central Board of Indirect taxes & Customs, “Infosys has reported a technical issue with the April 2022 GSTR-2B generation and GSTR-3B auto-population on the portal. The government has asked Infosys to resolve the issue quickly. The technical team is trying to get GSTR-2B and proper auto-populated GSTR-3B out as soon as possible.”
Given the challenges taxpayers face in completing their GSTR-3B for the month of April 2022, a suggestion to extend the deadline for filing GSTR-3B for April 2022 is being considered. The inconvenience to taxpayers is regrettable.
