Haryana CM launches financial aid scheme for people having annual income below Rs.1.80 Lakhs
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar launched a scheme which aims to provide financial aid in case of death or permanent disability of a member of a family having an annual income less than Rs 1.80 lakh.
According to a statement from the government, the programme is called the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Antyodaya Parivar Suraksha Yojana.
As per Parivar Pehchan Patra or Family Information Data Repository (FIDR) database, it intends to offer financial help in the event of a family member’s death, whether it be due to a natural cause, an accident, or a permanent disability.
The amount of financial aid would change based on the beneficiary’s age. Also, the programme would offer a sum of Rs. 2 lakh under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY).
Khattar announced during an event here that the scheme’s implementing organisation will be Haryana Parivar Suraksha Nyas (HPSN).
“Haryana Parivar Suraksha Nyas has been founded with the goal of bringing several insurance plans under one roof. In addition to giving the people immediate benefits through this mechanism, the state government also ensures standardisation and simplification of the claims process”, according to Khattar.
He described the claims process in detail, stating that the beneficiary or claimant must submit the claim using the scheme’s web portal within three months of an accidental death, a natural death, or a permanent handicap.
Also, in case of death, the assistance amount should be paid to the head of the family in their bank account registered in the PPP database.
The state government introduced the Mukhyamantri Vyapari Kshatipurti Yojana in 2019 to provide insurance benefits to traders with annual turnovers up to Rs 1.50 crore, the chief minister remarked in reference to a different programme.
The chief minister revealed that as of right now, taxpayer traders who participate in this programme are given insurance coverage ranging from Rs 5 to Rs 20 lakh against loss of inventory, furniture, and fixtures due to fire, burglary, and natural calamities.
The Chartered Accountants appointed by the state government would henceforth provide the “CA certificate” free of charge to the shopkeepers with yearly sales of less than Rs 20 lakhs, according to Khattar. He stated that this will go into effect on April 1, 2023.
“Small traders with a turnover of less than Rs 20 lakhs will now be able to obtain the CA certificate from the government-empanelled CAs after this notification. The state government will cover the cost”, he said.
With a total collection of Rs 68,142 crore, he claimed that among large states, Haryana holds the top spot in terms of GST per capita collection.
According to Khattar, Haryana’s traders make a major contribution to the state’s GST collection.
