Police initially focused on the number of people attending the party and the recovery of foreign liquor bottles. However, the investigation has now shifted towards identifying the guests present at the event.

Police records and vehicle details linked Manish Varmora, Managing Director of Morbi-based Varmora Granito Private Limited, to the venue. A luxury Toyota Fortuner registered in the company's name was seized from the hotel parking area during the raid.

The party was organised to celebrate the upcoming birthday of Chirag Arvind Patel, owner of the Dekora Group. The gathering reportedly included several wealthy businesspeople and industrialists from Rajkot and Morbi.

According to police, a total of 76 people, including 43 men and 33 women, were present at the hotel. Criminal cases were registered against 38 people under the Gujarat Prohibition Act. These included 35 party attendees and three hotel staff members, including the hotel manager.
