The Income Tax Return is a document or form that must be submitted to the Income Tax Department of India. It comprises information on a person’s earnings and the taxes that must be paid on those earnings throughout the year.

ITR-1, ITR-2, ITR-3, ITR-4, ITR-5, ITR-6, and ITR-7 are the seven types of ITR forms required by the Income Tax Department, and their applicability is determined by the nature and quantity of income as well as the type of taxpayer.

E-Verification of ITR: How to Know ITR e-Verification is complete

If you are electronically verifying your return:

  • A Transaction ID and a confirmation message will be shown.

If you are a Representative or Authorized Signatory of the Assessee:

  • A success message will appear, as well as a Transaction ID.
  • An email confirmation will be sent to the primary email ID of both Authorized Signatory’s / Representative Assessee’s and your email ID registered with the e-Filing site after successful verification.
