HP PAT And HP LEET 2023: The Himachal Pradesh Takniki Shiksha Board (HPTSB) Dharmshala has released the official notification for the HP PAT (Himachal Pradesh Polytechnic Admission Test) and HP LEET (Himachal Pradesh Lateral Entry Entrance Test) admission process for the year 2023. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the HP PAT and HP LEET 2023 by visiting the official website of the HPTSB. The application process for the HP PAT 2023 started on Monday, 3rd April 2023. The registration process for the HP LEET 2023 commenced on Wednesday, 5th April 2023.
The HP PAT and HP LEET are state-level examinations conducted once every year. The HP PAT and HP LEET are conducted for admission in polytechnic courses across various public and private polytechnic institutions in the Himachal Pradesh state. The HP PAT offers admission to the 1st year of diploma/polytechnic courses. On the other hand, the HP LEET provides entry to the second year of the diploma or polytechnic courses. Both entrance exams are a golden opportunity for candidates seeking a career in the engineering and technology domain.
The last date to register for the HP PAT 2023 is 2nd May 2023. Students will be able to fill out the application form up to 12 am on 2nd May. The HPTSB will release the admit cards for the HP PAT 2023 in the third week of May. Important dates for the HP PAT 2023 are tabulated below:

The application window for the HP LEET 2023 will remain active up to 12 am (midnight) on 6th May 2023. The detailed date-wise events for the HP LEET 2023 are tabulated below:

The HPTSB has defined certain eligibility parameters to appear for the HP PAT 2023. The eligibility parameters are listed below:
Essential Qualification: 10th or equivalent exam from any recognized board in India. Candidates appearing in their 10th examination are also eligible to apply.
Domicile: Candidates must be domicile holders of the Himachal Pradesh State.
Mark Criteria: Candidates must score a minimum of 35% marks in the qualifying examination.
Qualification Subjects: Candidates must have passed 10th with Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and English as mandatory subjects.
Candidates who wish to apply for the HP LEET 2023 must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
Essential Qualification: Candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent examination with physics/maths/chemistry/computer science/electronics/information technology/biology/informatics practices/biotechnology/technical vocational subject/agriculture/engineering graphics/business studies/entrepreneurship or
10+2 years ITI under NCVT/SCVT/COE in Engineering Stream
Appearing: Candidates appearing in their 12th exam/NCVT/SCVT/COE are also eligible to apply
Domicile: Candidates must be domicile holders of the Himachal Pradesh State.
The application fee for the HP PAT 2023 is Rs 650 for General Category students and Rs 400 for OBC/SC/ST students. The exam will be conducted in offline mode. The duration of the exam will be of three hours. The HP PAT 2023 exam will be conducted from 10 am to 1 pm on Sunday, 21st May 2023. 4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer. There is a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect response. The detailed exam pattern is tabulated below:

The HP LEET 2023 will be organized on Sunday, 28th May 2023. The exam will be of two-hour duration, from 10 am to 12 noon. The application fee for the HP LEET 2023 is Rs 650 for General Category students and Rs 400 for OBC/SC/ST students. The exam will be held in offline mode and will consist of multiple-choice questions. Each correct response will award 4 marks and each wrong answer will deduct 1 mark from the candidate’s score. The detailed exam pattern is tabulated below:
