ICAI Clarifies on Fake News Regarding Change in CA Examination Authority; Urges Students to Stay Focused on Their Exams
Recently, some news has been going around in the media and social media saying that the government is planning to create a new authority to conduct CA and other professional exams. Due to this news, a situation of confusion and anxiety has arisen among the students pursuing the CA course and the candidates preparing for the upcoming May examination.
In this regard, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has clarified that the said news is completely Inaccurate and no such information has been officially confirmed by the concerned ministry.
Therefore, all students and concerned stakeholders are advised not to pay attention to such unverified and misleading news. ICAI appeals to students who are encouraged to remain fully focused on preparing for their upcoming May examinations. ICAI remains steadfast in its commitment to its profession and its student community.
As per the recent ICAI notification, the date of the CA Intermediate May 2025 exams commencement date has been rescheduled, due to unavoidable reasons. Earlier, the exams were scheduled to start from May 03, 2026; now this date has been changed to May 05, 2026. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website of ICAI for the latest information.
