Official Update: ICAI Denies Claims of New Authority for CA Exams The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has issued a clarification regarding the rumours circulating on social media and in some media reports about the Government’s proposal to establish a new authority for conducting Chartered Accountancy (CA) examinations, along with certain other professional examinations.

ICAI has informed that recently, some news had come out in which it was being said that the government is considering creating a new authority to conduct the CA exams. Due to this news, an atmosphere of confusion and anxiety was created among the students, especially regarding the examinations to be held in May.

The institute has made it clear that this information is completely wrong and misleading. No such scheme has been officially confirmed by the concerned ministry. ICAI has appealed to the students and all concerned not to pay attention to such unconfirmed rumours. Also, students have been advised to fully focus on their preparation and keep preparing for the upcoming CA examinations, which are scheduled in May. The institute has also said that it is fully committed to its profession and the interests of its students and will share only the correct information.
