The initiative will especially focus on Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, where professional services are often limited or hard to access.
The purpose of forming this committee is to ensure that the Corporate Mitra scheme is well-organised and implemented effectively. This scheme was earlier announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Union Budget 2026 on February 1, 2026.
This initiative will be affordable and help small businesses save money on professional services. Apart from this, it will create short courses to train corporate mitra to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) effectively. Corporate Mitras will be trained to guide small businesses, helping them handle legal and financial tasks easily.
