ICAI implements Archiving of UDIN to ease off Server load
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has decided to implement archiving Unique Document Identification Numbers (UDINs) for Practicing Chartered Accountants after one year of their generation to ease off the load on the servers. Implementation of archiving UDINs has been arranged in a phased manner beginning for the year 2019 in the first phase, followed for the years 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023, thereafter.
To search archived UDINs on the Portal, members are required to follow these steps:
1. First click on the Members’ login.
2. Then check the List UDIN.
3. After that click on Document Generation Year.
4. Select UDIN Generation Year from the drop-down menu in the List.
5. Click the Button (Filter and Sort).
This archiving provision comes into force with immediate effect.
