ICAI Invites EOI for Suggestions on Reducing Carbon Footprints The second-largest professional organisation of chartered accountants in the world, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), has a long history of serving the Indian economy in the public interest. The ICAI established the Sustainability Reporting Standards Board (SRSB) in February 2020 as one of the stages toward cooperating in nation-building, with the goal of mainstreaming sustainability reporting and thinking into business operations in both the public and private sectors. Since its formation, the Board has undertaken a number of activities and is steadfastly working to contribute to the realisation of the worldwide demand for sustainability by raising awareness and putting sustainability-improving measures into action. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is serving as the host organisation for the 21st World Congress of Accountants (WCOA) 2022, which is sponsored by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) (ICAI). The Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India's financial hub, will host it from November 18–21, 2022. Please click on the following link for additional details about the WCOA event: https://www.wcoa2022mumbai.org/ The SRSB is seeking expressions of interest from external / third-party carbon offset agencies and carbon credit advisory firms that are involved in measuring carbon footprints, offering mitigation strategies, facilitating their implementation, computing carbon emissions, developing offset mechanisms, and certifying events as carbon neutral. By no later than June 30, 2022, interested agencies are asked to provide a brief profile, a description of the services they offer, and a preliminary proposal to [email protected]. After the SRSB evaluates the responses, the candidates for further discussion will be notified. It should be reminded that the Board's decision in this matter will be final.
