ICAI Opens Window for Suggestions on Union Budget 2026-27 Tax Proposals
The Direct Taxes Committee under the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) recently shared an important announcement on February 2, 2026, inviting suggestions on tax proposals in the Finance Bill, 2026.
The Finance Minister has presented the Union Budget 2026-27 in Parliament. In this regard, the Direct Taxes Committee, the Committee on International Taxation, and the GST & Indirect Taxes Committee are inviting suggestions on the tax proposals in the Finance Bill, 2026. These suggestions will be considered for inclusion in the Post-Budget Memorandum 2026, which will be submitted to the Ministry of Finance. ICAI further added to send suggestions by February 9, 2026.
ICAI further requested everyone to send their suggestions on the tax proposals in the Finance Bill, 2026, on time, as it will help to prepare and submit the Post-Budget Memorandum 2026 without delay.
