Recently, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) issued an official representation addressing the Finance Minister of India, urging the government to further extend the due date for Tax Audit Report (TAR) filing for the financial year 2024-25 (assessment year 2025-26) from September 30, 2025, to December 31, 2025. In the representation, ICAI highlighted the key issues faced by taxpayers, professionals, and other stakeholders in meeting the legal requirements of filing Tax Audit Reports (TAR), like heavy compliance calendars, portal glitches, overlapping GST and MCA deadlines, etc.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) recently made a public appeal to support aid to flood victims through the ICAI Flood Relief Fund 2025, keeping in mind that the recent floods have adversely affected several states of India. The flood has caused major destruction in the country, destroyed homes and livelihoods, and disturbed the normal lives of thousands of people. In such difficult situations, ICAI has urged everyone to come together and help the affected people. The aim of “ICAI Flood Relief Fund 2025” is to collect money quickly and use it for immediate relief and rehabilitation of people affected by the flood and living in flood-affected areas. 3. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has recently postponed the Chartered Accountants Final and Intermediate Examinations, September 2025, in Kathmandu (Nepal) amid widespread protests in Nepal. The Chartered Accountants (CA) Final and Intermediate Examinations, which were scheduled to be held on the 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, and 15th of September 2025, in Kathmandu (Nepal), have been postponed.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has allowed candidates to share their observations on the question papers of the CA Final, Intermediate, and Foundation examinations in September 2025. Candidates can share their feedback at [email protected] or by way of a letter, sent by Speed Post, at the ICAI Bhawan, so as to reach us latest by 27th September 2025. 5. A user at platform 'X' said, tagging ICAI, " I'm done with ICAI! No vote from me in the future. Elected members are clueless, ignoring calls to extend ITR due dates. What's the point of ICAI if they can't represent us? Losing respect & dignity daily. Utterly disappointed!"
