ICAI soon Sign MoU with CBSE for Career Counseling and Course Development
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will soon sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), according to Aniket S Talati, President of ICAI, who stated this at a press conference on January 22.
Regarding the collaboration with CBSE, Talati stated that the ICAI will sign an MoU with CBSE on February 8. Through this collaboration, the ICAI will give career advice in CBSE schools to educate students about the Chartered Accountancy course and potential job opportunities accessible after completing this professional course.
The ICAI will also create course content for CBSE-affiliated institutions in the form of modules and videos.
This declaration was made during the ICAI’s National Education Summit on Commerce and Accountancy (NES-CA), which takes place in New Delhi on January 22 and 23.
ICAI also introduced study material “Aarambh: A Step Towards Financial Independence” during the inaugural session of NES-CA 2024 to help students foster financial resilience and improve their decision-making abilities. This study material includes modules on ‘Fundamentals of Financial Planning’, “Banking and Credit”, ‘Understanding Financial Statements’, ‘Basics of Taxation’, ‘Investment Planning’, and ‘Retirement Planning’.
During the two-day event, the ICAI will also sign a memorandum of understanding with eleven colleges. As part of the agreement, ICAI will assist universities and colleges in a variety of areas, including the creation of Commerce syllabi, content development, online and recorded lectures, and faculty development programmes.
