IIFL Capital Services has been fined Rs 2.05 lakh by MCX over certain abnormal and non-genuine client transactions.

IIFL Capital Services Ltd. has disclosed that the Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd. (MCX) has imposed a Rs 2.05 lakh monetary penalty on the company over certain client transactions that were classified as abnormal or non-genuine trades.
According to the company’s regulatory filing, MCX took the action under its Exchange Circular dated August 20, 2018, relating to abnormal or non-genuine trading activity.
The direction was dated October 1, 2026, and was received by IIFL Capital Services on October 5, 2026. The company said the penalty will be recovered from the concerned clients.
IIFL Capital Services clarified that, apart from the Rs 2.05 lakh penalty, there is no material impact on the company’s financial position, operations or other activities.
