Income Tax Department released MAC Utility for Filing ITR 1 to ITR 4 for AY 2024-25 The Income Tax Department has launched the long-awaited MAC utility for filing Income-tax Returns (ITRs) 1, 2, 3, and 4 for the financial year 2024-25. This latest invention intends to expedite the filing process by catering to taxpayers' changing expectations in the digital age. ITR-1, also known as the Sahaj Form, is a form used by individual taxpayers in India to file their annual income tax returns. It is intended for people who receive income from sources such as a salary or a pension. ITR-2 can be filed by individuals or HUFs who are ineligible to file ITR-1 (Sahaj).
