Neetu Yadav was Akhilesh Yadav's Officer on Special Duty (OSD) when he was Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He used to be an electrician at Mulayam Singh Yadav's mansion, where he lived in the servant quarter. When Akhilesh became Chief Minister, he selected Neetu Yadav as his Deputy Chief Minister.
