Income Tax Officials detected Tax Evasion by Cafe Owner

The Income Tax Officials uncovered tax evasion by a cafe in Gokul enclave. The cafe’s owner allegedly failed to file tax returns for the previous six months.

Officials stated that they received a complaint under the state government‘s “Bill liao inaam pao” scheme. Taking quick action on the complaint, officials led by Deputy Commissioner of State Taxes (DCST) Randhir Kaur began an investigation that revealed tax evasion by the establishment.

A consumer filed the complaint after visiting the restaurant and detecting tax fraud, according to officials.

Bill liao inaam pao” is the state government’s exclusive campaign to encourage individuals to collect bills from businesses.
