Indian Army Recruitment 2023: The Directorate General of Recruiting (DGR), Integrated Head Quarter (IHQ) of Ministry of Defence, Government of India has invited Online Applications from Unmarried Men, Women as well as (Including Wards of Battle Casualties of Indian Army Personnel), for Grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) for National Cadet Corps (NCC) Special Entry Scheme (SES) 54th Course (October 2023) in the Indian Army.
There are overall 55 Vacancies to be filled under the NCC Special Entry Scheme 54th Course (October 2023 ) notified vide the Indian Army Recruitment 2023 Notification.
Among the Ambitious, Energetic and Dedicated Youth having Patriotic Spirit for the National Pride willing to be Applicants for the NCC Special Entry Scheme 54th Course (October 2023 ) may proceed to apply Online as per the Instructions prescribed in the Indian Army Recruitment 2023 Notification Before or On the 15th February 2023 (15.02.2023) notified to be the Last Date for completion of the Online Application Process the Eligible and Willing Candidates.
For NCC Special Entry Scheme: 54 Course (October 2023)
Post and Vacancy Details under Indian Army Recruitment 2023:
I) National Cadet Corps (Men): 50 Vacancies (45 for UR/General Category and 05 for Wards of Battle Casualties of the Indian Army Personnel only).
II) NCC (Women): 05 Vacancies (04 for UR/General Category and 01 for Wards of Battle Casualties of Indian Army Personnel only).
The Candidates (As on 01.071.2023) should be Minimum 19 Years and must not exceed 25 Years [i.e., (the Candidates should have been born between 2nd July 1998 and 1st July 2004, both Days Inclusive)].
Educational Qualifications and other Criteria under the Indian Army Recruitment 2023 Advertisement are explained hereunder:
1) For NCC ‘C’ Certificate Holders.
aa) Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from any Accredited University/Equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% Marks.
*Note: Those studying in the Final Year are also Eligible to apply subject to having secured Minimum 50% Aggregate Marks in the 1st/2nd/3rd Years of 03/04-Years Degree course respectively.
*Note: Such Students shall have to secure overall Aggregate of Minimum 50% Marks in the Degree Course if selected in Interview, failing which their Candidatures will be CANCELLED.
ab) Service in NCC: Should have served for Minimum 02/03 Years (as applicable) in Senior Division/Wing of the National Cadet Corps.
ac) Grading: Should have obtained Minimum ‘B’ Grade in ‘C’ Certificate Examination of the National Cadet Corps.
*Note: The Applicants, not holding the NCC ‘C’ Certificate on Date of Application, are Ineligible to apply for the NCC Special Entry Course.
Important Note: The Candidates must take note that they may appear for Only one of the Services Selection Board (SSB) Interview, either SSC (Non-Technical)-118 Course (October 2023)/SSC (Non-Technical) (Women)-32 Course (October 2023) as CDSE Candidate Or NCC (Special) Entry-54 Course (October 2023).
The Candidates shall need to furnish Respective Undertakings to this effect under the Declaration Part of the Online Application.
According to the Indian Army Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Directorate General of Recruiting, Integrated Head Quarter of Ministry of Defence (Indian Army) shall carry out the Shortlisting Process for Allotment of the Selection Centers in respect of the Candidates for appearing before the Services Selection Board (SSB).
The Candidates shall be put through 02 Stage Selection Procedure. Those who clear Stage-1 will go to Stage-2. Those who fail in Stage-1 will be returned on the Same Day. Duration of SSB interviews is 05 (Five) Days. Note: *The Candidates may visit the Official Website to check out the Details of the same, which are available on Official Website of Directorate General of Recruiting.
Tenure of Engagement: Short Service Commission will be granted to Male and Female in the Regular Army for 14 Years; i.e., for an Initial Period of 10 Years, and subsequently Extendable by a further period of 04 Years. Male and Female Officers who remain willing to continue serving in Indian Army after 10-Years’ Expiry Period of the Short Service Commission, if eligible and Suitable in all respects, may be considered for the Grant of Permanent Commission (PC) in the 10th Year of their Short Service Commission in accordance with the relevant Policies as issued from time to time.
Those Short Service Commission Officers (Male and Female) who are not selected for Grant of Permanent Commission but are, otherwise, considered Physically Fit and Suitable, will be given options to continue as Short Service Commission Officers (SSCOs) for a total Period of 14 Years (including the Initial Tenure of 10 Years) on expiry of which they will be relieved from the Indian Army.
