Indian retailers to do hunger strike in OPPO offices due to unfair & unethical trade practices of Chinese Brand

Dear Sir,

Warm greetings!

Firstly, we would like to congratulate you on the grand success of the OPPO K-series Smartphones.

We want to highlight your pledge for initiating distribution support and supply of the OPPO K-series Smartphones to the Mainline Retail fraternity at zoom meeting dated 25 March 2022.

MOU for the same was also shared for your kind reference and reminder.

However, despite your commitment, we have learnt that the supply has been kept exclusive to the Online Retail Market Only, which the mainline retail industry takes as an outright violation of trust & words. Every mainline retailer puts all the blood, sweat, and honesty to make a brand successful in the market, and such false promises will break the belief in you.

Today, we are present in every nook and cranny of the country and capable of extending our services to each customer nationwide. The mainline retail industry can proudly assure you of providing better services to customers than Online platforms. We are digitally sound, competent, and equipped at par with e-commerce services like instant doorstep deliveries & more. The customers want & appreciate the flexibility to ensure the touch & feel factor of products, which the online platforms fail to offer, making the customers feel like victims of restricted and t1nfair trade practices.

Restricting a product from the mainline retail fraternity establishes an unfair & biased trade practice with a tremendous threat of impacting the nation’s economy unfavorably. OPPO is deliberately diverting our esteemed customers to the Online platform, whereas the mainline retaile1·s have been with you since the initial phases of your operations. Unfortunately, you have united your bands with Amazon and Flipkart and made a cartel to kill the domestic market and retail fraternity.

This time around, mainline retailers will not be the mute spectators. We are writing this to formally inform you in advance that if OPPO fails to practice a fair level of playing field by providing every product and accessory at the same time, with the same offers, and the same pricing for the mainline retail market at par with the online retail, the mainline 1·etail fraternity will do a nationwide protest and hunger strike along with the National Media Coverage at all OPPO offices, agents, and factories in India.

It’s a humble request to OPPO India to restore the integrity and honor of your commitment to supplying OPPO K-Series Smartphones to the mainline fraternity with reasonable operational margins and reinstate that you will deliver what you said.

We are anticipating an immediate response to fulfil your commitment.
