The Government has launched The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025 which aims to create a comprehensive legal framework for the online gaming industries such as e-sports, educational games and more.
The main purpose of this Bill is to ban the offering and advertising of of all real money games, including those based on skills, this could result in massive job losses and the closures of many companies.
Companies such as Dream11, Games24x7, Winzo, GamesKraft, 99Games, KheloFantasy, and My11Circle together have created one of the country's most dynamic consumer-tech sectors and are attracting to make major foreign investments.
