IOCL Recruitment 2023: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Government of India has sought Applications from the Officers meeting Eligibility for Appointment on the Director (Research & Development) Post on a Fixed Term Basis (FTB) in Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) notified vide this IOCL Recruitment 2023 Notification Dated 21.02.2023. According to the IOCL Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, notified 01 Vacancy for Director (Research & Development) Post shall be filled up with an Appointment of a Suitable Officer as Director (Research & Development) in the Pay Scale Rs. 180000-340000 Per Month (IDA) in IOC Limited.
Based on the PESB-issued IOCL Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, the notified Vacancy for Director (Research & Development) Post shall occur on 01.08.2023. As is notified in the IOCL Recruitment 2023 Official Notification Willing and Eligible Officers with the Desire for the Director (R&D) Post in Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., may apply through Proper Channel and by adhering to the Instructions in the IOCL Recruitment 2023 Official Notification issued. According to the IOCL Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, post-Selection, the Officer to be appointed as Director (R&D) will be entitled to the Pay Scale narrated hereunder:
Pay Scale: Rs.1.80 -3.40 Lac Per Month (IDA)
Based on the IOCL Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, the Age Limits stipulated for Internal and External Candidates are explained hereunder:
Superannuation Age Limit: 60 Years (As on the VOD 01.08.2023)
A) Internal Candidates: Minimum 45 Years (and Maximum 02-Years’ Residual Service as on the Date of the Vacancy Occurrence) with regard to the Date of Superannuation.
B) Other Candidates: Minimum 45 Years (and Maximum 03-Years’ Residual Service as on the Vacancy Occurrence Date) with reference to the Date of Superannuation.
Note: The Minimum Length of Services essential in the Eligible Pay Scale for the Director (R&D) Post is 01 (One) Year in respect of the Internal Candidates, and as regards Others (External), the same is 02 (Two) Years as on 01.08.2023.

Essential Educational Qualification:
The Applicant should be a Post-Graduate in Engineering Stream preferably in Chemical/Mechanical/Fuel Technology/Tribology with a Good Academic Record from any Duly Recognised University/Institute.
Note: Philosophiae Doctor (Ph.D) in the relevant field will be an Added Advantage.
Experience: The Candidate should have adequate R&D/Technical Experience/Exposure at any Senior Level of Management in a large Organization of Repute, out of which Minimum 05 Years’ Cumulative Experience/ Exposure out of last 10 Years should have been in Research & Development pertaining to Petroleum Refinery/Lubrication and Tribology/Petrochemicals Sector.
Other Essential Eligibility Conditions involved in carrying out the Selection Process explained hereunder:
As mentioned in the IOCL Recruitment 2023 Notification, selection on to Director (R&D) Post shall be carried through by an Interview for Appointment.
For Appointment on Director (Research & Development) Post, the Public Enterprises Selection Board will accord Preference to the Candidates serving or having rendered their respective Services in any of the Listed Companies notified in the IOCL Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement.
Appointment Tenure: Post-Selection Appointment the Incumbent’s Tenure as Director (R&D) shall remain 05 (Five) Years from the Date of Joining/up to the Date of Superannuation/until further Government Orders, Whichever be Earlier as may also be read in the IOCL Recruitment 2023 Official Notification.
