Is Someone misusing your Aadhar card; check this in 2 minutes and lodge Complaint
Aadhar card is an essential document. Aadhar number is asked from taking benefit of government scheme to admission of child. Aadhar card contains information ranging from your name, address and phone number to fingerprint. If you are afraid that someone is misusing your Aadhaar, then you can check it yourself sitting at home with your own comfort.
On the official site of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), you can check online when and where your Aadhaar number has been used. You are not charged any charge for this. Know its complete process here.
1. First of all you have to go to the Aadhar website or this link uidai.gov.in.
2. Here the option of Aadhaar Authentication History will be found at the bottom of Aadhaar Services, click on it.
3. Here you have to enter the Aadhar number and the security code that is visible and click on Send OTP.
4. After this an OTP will come for verification on the registered mobile number linked with Aadhaar, enter this OTP and click on submit.
5. After this, you will have to fill all the information asked including authentication type and date range and OTP. (Note- You can view data up to 6 months.)
6. After clicking on Verify OTP, a list will appear in front of you, in which information will be given about when and where Aadhaar was used in the last 6 months.
On seeing the records, if you feel that the Aadhar card has been misused, then you can immediately lodge a complaint. You can register a complaint by calling the toll free number 1947 or emailing help@uidai.gov.in or you can also make a complaint online at the link uidai.gov.in/file-complaint.
