IT Dept. Cracks Down Hicks Thermometer Factory on ITI Road, Aligarh; Financial Records Being Examined
The Income Tax Department, in connection with a raid carried out in the industrial area on ITI Road, has cracked down on Hicks Thermometer Factory in Aligarh. The team that carried out the said raid included 10 members. The said factory is owned by the son of Hari Prakash Gupta, named Siddharth Gupta.
As per the reports, on January 06, 2025, at 11:00 AM, the Income Tax Department had suddenly reached the location, i.e., the factory on ITI Road. The operation was so private that even the local police or other departments were not informed about the same.
The tax department had made strict security arrangements during the raid. The department has obtained information regarding all the members present inside the raided factory premises at that time. These members include the owner, staff, and all the employees. As the action started, all the gates of the factory were closed; neither anyone present inside the factory was allowed to go out nor any outsider was allowed to enter the factory at that point.
As per the information, the team is present, deeply examining the accounts, stock register, and other financial documents of the factory. As of now, the tax department has not revealed the exact reason behind carrying out this raid.
