ITAT appoints 40 New Members including 18 Judicial and 22 Accounts Members
The Government stated via notification that the Cabinet Appointments Committee has approved the appointment of 18 Judicial Members and 22 Accountant Members to the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT), with pertinent correspondence provided to the Department of Legal Affairs.
The Notification reads as follows:
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following proposals of the Department of Legal Affairs:
(1) Appointment of the following candidates for the posts of Judicial Member in the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT), in the pay scale of Rs.2,25,000 for a period of 04 years w.e.f. the date of assumption of the charge of the post, or until attaining the age of 67 years, whichever is earlier:
