Common Offline Utility for ITR-1, ITR-2, ITR-3 and ITR-4 for Assessment Year (AY) 2026-27 Version 1.2.1 has been released by the Income Tax Department. The update was released July 1, 2026 and is available for download on both Windows and Mac devices.
This is a small bug fix update that improves the utility performance. The last one, 1.2.0, was published on 23 June 2026. The ITR forms have not changed, so taxpayers who have begun preparing or filing their returns do not have to start over.
The latest version can be downloaded from the Downloads section of the Income Tax Department’s e-filing portal at incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in. The Department also advised taxpayers to watch out for any further updates while filing their income tax returns.
