JEE Advanced Exam Date 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has released the JEE Advanced 2025 exam date on Monday, December 2. The entrance exam is going to be conducted on May 18, 2025. Candidates may check the date sheet and important information on the official website at jeeadv.ac.in.
The exam is going to be conducted in two sessions of three hours in duration. Paper 1 will be scheduled from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and Paper 2 will be held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Candidates must appear in both exams. Registration for the JEE main 2025 January session has closed. The examination can be conducted between 23 to 31 January 2025, and the result of the exam will be declared on 12 February 2025.
Registration for Session 2 is expected to start in February. Exams can be conducted between April 15 and April 25. The schedule is expected to be published soon on jeemain.nta.nic.in.
JEE Advanced allows students to get admission to bachelor’s degree programs for 23 IITs across the country. These institutions combine intake in about 50,000 seats across several engineering and integrated courses. Candidates who are interested in getting admission to several IITs need to clear the JEE Main and then apply for the JEE Advanced Examination. All other eligibility criteria remain the same for JEE Advanced. The IIT Kanpur had already, this year, decided to increase the attempts at JEE Advanced from two to three at present.
However, this decision has been reversed, and the attempt number remains two. This includes those students who have cleared their qualifying exams in the year 2024 as well as those students who are going to clear the same in the year 2025.
