Former England captain Kevin Pietersen has asked India for assistance after misplacing his Permanent Account Number (PAN) card before his scheduled visit to India on Tuesday. Former England cricketer Pietersen has a large fan base in India, and the cricket broadcaster visits the country frequently during the Indian Premier League (IPL) season.

Pietersen resorted to Twitter on Tuesday to vent about his situation. When discussing the awful circumstance, the former England captain sought the assistance of the Twitterverse. “INDIA PLEASE HELP, I’ve misplaced my PAN card and will be travelling to India on Monday, but I need the physical card for work.” “Can someone PLEASE PLEASE guide me to someone who I can contact as soon as possible to help me?” Pietersen asked in a tweet. In his post, Pietersen also mentioned Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Fans and followers of the game have responded to the tweet with notable reactions on the microblogging site. The Income Tax Department‘s official social media handle has also responded to Pietersen’s tweet. “Dear @KP24, We are here to assist you. If you have your PAN details, please visit these URLs for the procedure to apply for reprint of physical PAN Card,” Income Tax India said in a tweet.

“Fabulous. Thank you! I’ve emailed you. I’ve also followed you so someone can DM me so I can speak to you please?,” Pietersen replied after acknowledging the official handle’s tweet. Pietersen’s message was retweeted by over 17k Twitter accounts and sites. On Twitter, the former England captain has almost 3.8 million followers.
