Selection Methodology: Karnataka State Police Selection Authority shall carry through Selection in compliance with the POLCET 2022 Recruitment Notification.  The Selection  Process for  Police Constable (Civil) (Men & Women)  and Police Constable (Transgender Men & Women) (Backlog) In-Service (NKK and KK) consists of 06 Stages in the following Sequential manner:

01) A Competitive Written Test (CWT) consisting of 02 Papers for Maximum 100 Marks;  02) Physical Standard Test (PST); 03) Physical Endurance Test (PET); 04) Medical Examination (ME); 05) Document Verification and  06) Antecedent Check Verification, respectively.

1) KSP POLCET Scheme 2022

Karnataka State Police Police shall conduct a Police Constable Eligibility Test (POLCET) 2022 explained hereunder:

I) Objective-Type Written Examination aimed at preparing Merit List

Examination Duration: 90 Minutes (1½ Hours); Total 100 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions; Maximum 100 Marks; Marking (+01 for every Correct Response; Negative Marking of ¼ (-0.25) for each Wrong Answer.

Part I: General Studies: 50 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions = 50 Marks

Part II: Mental Ability Test: 50 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions = 50 Marks

II) Physical Standards Test and Endurance/Efficiency Test remain of Qualifying nature.

Age Limits: General/Open Merit Candidates: Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 25 Years. The Upper Age Limits are relaxable for Scheduled Reserved Community Candidates as per the State Government Rules.

KSP POLCET Recruitment 2022 Educational Qualifications: The Candidates should

i) have passed Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) (Xth) from any duly Recognized Board. Or

ii) have passed 02-Years’ ITI Or 03-Years’ Diploma Or 2-Years’ Career Education Diploma/Karnataka State Vocational Education Course (JOC/JODC/JLDC)/ Pre-University College to be Eligible for appearing in KSP Constable Eligibility Test Selection.

iii) Other Equivalent Qualifications are as follows:

Higher Secondary Course (HSC), and One Language Course conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) and One Academic Subject in Distance Education Mode (DEM)

Karnataka Police Constable Physical Standards Measurement (PSM)

Category-specific/Community-wise Physical Standards applicable to Male and Female Candidates, Transgender as well as for Ex-Service Men follows:

All General Merit Male Candidates and Ex-Military Candidates: Minimum Height: 170 Cm AND Chest Measurement: 86 Cm. with 05 Cm. Swelled/Inflated

All Female Candidates: Minimum Height: 157 Cm. AND Weight: 45 Kg.

Male Candidates from Tribal Forest Areas of Karnataka State: Minimum Height: 155 Cm. AND Chest Measurement:75 Cm. with 05 Cm Swelled

Female Candidates from Tribal Forest areas of Karnataka State: Minimum Height: 150 Cm.

Karnataka Police Constable Physical Standard Measurement and Endurance/Efficiency Test (PSM/ET):

Male Candidates: Physical Standards Test Events (Qualifying in nature):

i) Long Run: 1600 Meters to be completed in 6½ Minutes or (06 Minutes 30 Seconds)

ii) Pushups: 20 (One Cycle of Up & Down Equivalent to One Count)

iii) Shot Put: (7.26 kg): Not less than 5.60 Meters in 03 Chances

iv) Long Jump: 3.80 Meters to be qualified in 03 Chances

v) High Jump: 1.20 Meters to be qualified in 03 Chances

02) Female Candidates: Physical Standards Test (Qualifying in nature):

i) Long Run: 1000 Meters to be completed in 6½ Minutes or (06 Minutes 30 Seconds)

ii) Long Jump: 2.50 Meters to be qualified in 03 Chances

iii) High Jump: 0.90 Meters to be qualified in 03 Chances

iv) Shot Put: (04 Kg): Not less than 3.75 Meters to be qualified in 03 Chances

03) For Ex-Service-Men (Qualifying in nature):

i) Long Run: 400 Meters to be completed in 1½ Minutes or (01 Minute 30 Seconds)

ii) Long Jump: 2.50 Meters to be qualified in 03 Chances

iii) High Jump: 0.90 Meters to be qualified in 03 Chances

iv) Shot Put: (4.00 kg) Not less than 3.75 Meters in 03 Chances
