Labour Ministry Notifies Officers to Decide "Same or Similar Work" Disputes
The Ministry of Labour and Employment recently issued a notification on May 12, 2026, regarding the appointment of authorities under Section 3 of the Code on Wages, 2019.
The Central Government has appointed certain officers to act as authorities to decide disputes related to "same or similar work" under Section 3 of the Code.
The new notification replaces the earlier notification issued on October 17, 2019. However, any actions already taken under the old notification will remain valid.
The appointed officers will handle disputes in establishments where the Central Government is the appropriate authority. The following is the list of officers:
