Ministry of Labour and Employment Notifies Recognised Medical Practitioners
The Ministry of Labour and Employment recently issued a notification (S.O. 2352(E)) on May 8, 2026, regarding classes of medical practitioners.
The Central Government notifies the following classes of medical practitioners having the specified qualifications, using its power given by clause (44) of section 2 of the Code on Social Security, 2020 (36).
Individuals who hold a recognised medical qualification and are officially registered with:
- The National Medical Commission or any State Medical Council established under the National Medical Commission Act, 2019.
- The National Commission for Homoeopathy, or any autonomous board or state medical council established under the National Commission for Homoeopathy Act, 2020.
- The National Commission for Indian System of Medicine, or any autonomous board or state medical council constituted under the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine Act, 2020.
