The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has recently introduced the ICSI Student Amnesty Scheme-2025. This is a one-time opportunity for former students whose registration has lapsed to rejoin the Company Secretary (CS) course. The scheme allows such students to resume their studies without facing the usual difficulties associated with re-registration, helping them continue their professional journey more easily.
Eligibility Criteria for ICSI student Amnesty Scheme-2025
Eligible students are primarily divided into two categories, which are listed below:Category 1
Who can apply? Students of the Intermediate/Executive or Final/Professional Programme whose registration has expired and who cannot apply for Registration Denovo (renewal). Fee: The fee for this category of students is Rs. 5,000. Validity: Registration will be valid for 5 years. TDOP (Training / other requirement): Not required. Pre-Examination Test: You must complete the Pre-Examination Test after paying the required fee and before exam enrolment. Study Material: Provided after paying the study material cost separately. Main Benefit: You can continue the CS course without losing previous benefits, such as:- Paper-wise exemptions
- Module/Group pass status
Category 2
Who can apply? Existing students who have completed fresh registration or re-registration under the 2022 syllabus after their earlier registration expired and who wish to claim exemption benefits based on papers passed or exemptions received under the previous syllabus. Fee: The fee for this category of students is Rs. 1,000.Deadline of this Scheme
The scheme will remain open until 28th February 2026. Applications submitted after the closure date of the amnesty scheme will not be accepted by ICSI. Students who are interested are advised to apply before the deadline to avoid missing this opportunity.About Author
