Lucknow Lulu Mall Bank Account Seized Over Rs. 27 Crore Tax Dues Amid Ongoing Controversies As per recent reports, the Income Tax Department has confiscated the bank account of a mall named Lulu in Lucknow. The mall was alleged to have an enormous tax liability of Rs. 27 crore, not paid promptly. This failure of not pay the tax timely resulted in the seizure of the mall's bank account.

The mall was already a part of an earlier controversy this year in July 2025. A female employee had filed a complaint against the mall's manager and raised allegations of blackmail and physical assault. Subsequently, the police arrested the accused and took him into custody. As per the report registered by the woman, the manager first made her drink a cold drink with a sedative and thereafter raped her. Meanwhile, he also recorded a video and later used that video for blackmailing her and extorting money. When the woman agreed to adhere, he threatened to viralise it on social media.
