Massive GST Raids Hit Highway King Hotels Across Jaipur
In a large enforcement action, authorities from the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) unit carried out raids on six branches of the hotel chain Highway King Hotel in Jaipur, including Delhi road, Kishangarh, Ajmer road.
The government’s tax team carried out the raids because they suspected the hotel was hiding some of its income and not paying the full GST that it owed. The CGST team conducted surprise inspections across several locations to gather evidence.
The team also investigated the residence of the High King Hotel's Owner.
Officials said they found some suspicious differences in the records that make it look like someone was trying to avoid paying taxes, so they’re looking into it more closely. However, no names or exact amounts have been officially disclosed yet.
