MCA to allow Offline Filing to Various Forms due to Technical Glitches in Portal
Due to technological challenges encountered by users while completing forms through its MCA21 site, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) plans to allow submissions of some business forms in physical format.
The technical challenges with online form filling on the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) site are not a new topic to address. However, the government took this choice due to an influx of complaints about the service from users, particularly Chartered Accountants.
The petitioner Limited Liability Partnership (LLP)'s designated partner recently moved the High Court of Kerala, alleging the difficulty to file LLP Forms at the MCA Portal.
The ruling came after the Kerala High Court granted an interim order in the previously stated petition, directing the ministry to accept physical applications when its online system broke.
In January 2021, the MCA portal collapsed, and users took to social media to demand that the Companies Fresh Start Scheme, 2020 (CFSS) be extended.
The President of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has written to the Secretary of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on the MCA 21 V3 Portal Glitches. In the letter, the president outlined the difficulties with the portal in chronological order.
The MCA site continues to have difficulties that have yet to be resolved. However, it would be ideal if the ministry accepted the physical forms as quickly as possible until things return to normal.
A Chartered Accountant has petitioned the Kerala High Court, claiming many technological flaws in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs' (MCA) new V3 platform. Despite the fact that the portal's goal is to speed up procedures by eliminating paper forms and replacing them with digital forms, it has produced several problems for both the ministry and its users.
