Mechanism for Managing GST Registration Related Complaints in Bengaluru Jurisdiction
On May 09, 2025, the Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner of Central Tax, Bengaluru Zone, issued an official notice (No. 01/2025), discussing the mechanism for managing GST registration complaints in the Bengaluru jurisdiction. The notice outlines the various measures to be taken while doing GST registration to avoid possible related issues. Its problems are especially about the documents needed to prove who owns the main business location and what type of business it is.
If applicants have problems because they didn't follow the guidelines, in that case, they can submit their complaints through email ID or can visit the GST Seva Kendra in Bengaluru. The aim of authority is to resolve these complaints and discuss all possible outcomes with the respective applicant.
Applicants applying for new GST registration and all concerned are informed about the problems being faced during the registration process. To assist in resolving these issues quickly and effectively, the following Grievance Redressal Mechanism is being put in place for applicants under the Central Tax, Bengaluru Zone.
The official notification states, "It has been noticed that some applicants may be facing difficulties in getting the GST registration, mainly on account of nature of clarifications being sought by the officers with respect to the information submitted in the application FORM GST REG-01, with respect to proof of ownership of principal place of business, constitution of business, identity details of Authorised Signatory, owner, etc. and seeking of additional documents which may not be prescribed in the List of Documents appended to FORM GST REG-01."
Further states, "Any GST Registration applicant in the State of Karnataka whose Application Reference Number (ARN) has been assigned to Central jurisdiction and who has a grievance with respect to any query raised in contravention of the above instructions, regarding grounds of rejection of application, etc."
Refer to the official notification for more related information.
