MeitY Recruitment 2023: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), seeks applications from qualified applicants to fill the position of Director General, SCL either direct recruitment or delegation. As per the official notification, interested candidates with Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or an M.Sc in Electronics/ Applied Electronics/ Micro Electronics/ Semiconductor Physics/ Applied Physics/ Material Science/ Metallurgy/ Chemical Science/ Engineering Physics/ VLSI Technology will be given preference.

The job of Director General, Semi-Conductor Laboratory (SCL) has a pay scale of Level-15 in the Pay Matrix (Rs 182200 – Rs 224100) and will be filled by Direct Recruitment / Deputation. The initial term of the position is three years, which can be extended for another five years or until the age of superannuation, whichever comes first. The last date will be 45 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News. Candidates are requested to apply for the job post before the deadline. No application shall be entertained after the stipulated time/ date.

Salary for MeitY Recruitment 2023:

The salary scale for the Director General position at Semiconductor Laboratory (SCL), which ranges from Rs 182200 to Rs 224100 is Level 15.

Age Limit for MeitY Recruitment 2023:

The age limit for Direct Recruitment is 50 years and for Deputation basis 58 years.

For applicants from Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Union Territory of Ladakh, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, the Union Territory of Andaman Nicobar Islands or the Union Territory of Lakshadweep, the last date will be 15 days beyond the last date of receipt of application.
