Ministry of Finance Recruitment 2022: The Ministry of Finance, Government of India, has called for Applications from Experienced Candidates Eligible for Research Fellows in Multiple Functional Domains in the Tax Policy Research Unit (TPRU). Among the Eligible Candidates, those Intending Persons with Constructive Flair may apply for Appointment as Research Fellow (Fixed Term) through Mail followed by Acknowledgment of the Advance Copy/Printed Copy of the Mailed Application and Documents within 21 Days from issuance of the Recruitment Notification in the Economic Times.

Subsequent to transmission of Individual Applications, the Candidates should dispatch duly completed Applications annexed with the Mandatory Documents through Registered Post with Acknowledgment Due/Speed Post/Carrier on Order/In Person.

Selection Process: The Tax Policy Research Unit constituted Screening Committee headed by Chairperson will carry through the Shortlisting Process. The Screening Committee will likely exercise their discretion to fix the Eligibility Criteria to restrict the Appropriately Suitable Eligible Candidates for hosting the Interviews.

Experience with Some Econometric and Statistical Toools like E-Views, Statistics and Data (STATA), Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) R, etc.

B) Computer Science/Information Technology (IT) Domain:

Educational Qualification: B.Tech (CS/IT/ET) and related Streams

Work Experience: 01 to 05 Years’ Programming Experience

Desirable: Ability and Experience to handle large Database

Thorough Knowledge and Programming Ability in Python or R

C) Law Doman:

Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Legal Laws

Work Experience: 01 to 05 Years’ Experience in Research and Report Writing Experience of Equivalent Professional Legal Experience;

Desirable: Thorough Understanding of Direct and Indirect Tax Laws and Other Fiscal Laws

Working Experience: Experience of Policy related Work in the areas of Taxation and Public Finance is Desirable.

D) Accountancy Domain:

Educational Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Master’s Degree in Commerce/Business Administration, Cost and Works Accountant (CWA)/Company Secretaryship (CS)

Working Experience: 01 to 05 Years’ Experience as a Chartered Accountant or Relevant Professional Experience

Desirable: Thorough Understanding of Direct and Indirect Tax Laws and Other Fiscal Rules

Experience of Policy related Work in the area of Taxation and Public Finance is Desirable
