MPSC Recruitment 2023: The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has sought Online Applications from the Candidates Eligible for Recruitment on to the Assistant Commissioner, Social Welfare & Relevant, Group ‘A’ in Social Justice and Special Assistance Department with 41 Vacancies under Maharashtra State Government vide the MPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement No. 023/2023 Dated 10.05.2023.  Based on the MPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification there are 41 Vacancies under Pay Scale S-18 (Rs.49100-155800) to be filled up with Appointment of Assistant Commissioner, Social Welfare & Relevant, Group ‘A’.

According to the MPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Vacancy Notice, the Intending Eligible Persons with Interest in the MPSC Assistant Commissioner, Social Welfare & Relevant, Group ‘A’ may apply as per the Instructions prescribed in the MPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification.  As has been notified in the MPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, Online Registration shall commence from 15.05.2023. The Last Date for the Candidates to complete the Online Application Process is 05.06.2023).  

  1. The Last Date for the Examination Fee and Online Application/Registration Ends on 07.06.2023.
  2. The Prescribed Last Date for taking a Copy of Challan in case of the Examination Fee paid by Challan in the State Bank of India is 08.06.2023.
  3. The Last Date for Payment of the Exam Fee in the State Bank of India in the case of Payment of the Examination Fee in/by Currency is 08.06.2023.

Hence, the Willing Candidates with the Prescribed Eligibility may complete the Online Application/Registration Process within the Dates stipulated for the same and the Instructions prescribed in the MPSC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement.

Eligibility for MPSC Recruitment 2023:

The Eligibility for all Posts mandates to-be Eligible Candidates to have gained Post Graduate Degree in the relevant Subject with Minimum 06-Years in explained in the Eligible Criteria comprising Educational Qualification and Experience in the MPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification

I) Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce/Law with Minimum 2nd Class from any Statutory University.

II) 02-Years’ Post Graduate Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work/Social Welfare Administration from any Duly Recognized University/ Institute or 2nd Class Post Graduate Diploma/Post-Graduate Degree in Social Welfare Administration from any Duly Recognized University.

B)Preferential Qualification: Provided further that Preference may be given to the Candidates having the following Educational Qualification:

a) Have Experience in any Social Welfare Department or those having Experience in a Responsible Capacity in a field of Social Welfare/Backward Class Welfare/Both: Or

b) Have made Special Contributions to Social Welfare including Backward Class Welfare, which MAY be substantiated by Evidence.

Notwithstanding anything contained in Clause 8.1 (1) above if at any state of Selection, the MPSC is of the Opinion that a Sufficient number of the Candidates having gained the Requisite Higher Basic Academic Qualification are not available to fill up the Vacancies reserved for Candidates belonging to Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribes, De-notified Tribes or Nomadic Tribes, then the Commission may, in the matter of such Selection, relax the requirements of the Class of the Degree set out therein, and select Suitable Candidates belonging to such Caste/Tribes to fill up such Vacancies.

Selection Criteria under MPSC Recruitment 2023:

According to the MPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification for “Assistant Commissioner, Social Welfare & Relevant, Group ‘A’ in Social Justice and Special Assistance Department”  shall be carried through as explained hereunder:

Selection on “Assistant Commissioner, Social Welfare & Relevant, Group ‘A’ Post shall be carried out through based on the Educational Qualifications/ or Experience, Higher Qualification/Experience, and a Written Test with the Interview, resulting in Merit.  The Candidates shall need to attain Minimum 41% Marks in both Screening Test and Interview.

The Examination Fee to be remitted/paid by the Candidates shall be as follows:
