National Council of Education Research and Training is looking for qualified candidates for the positions of Assistant Editors, Proof Readers and DTP Operators. There are a total of 170 vacant seats for the above-mentioned posts.

Salary for NCERT Recruitment 2024:

The salary offered to the selected candidate for NCERT Recruitment 2024 is given below-

Assistant Editors-

• The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary of Rs. 80000.

Proof Readers-

• The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary of Rs. 50000.

DTP Operators- 

• The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary of Rs. 37000.

Age Limit for NCERT Recruitment 2024:

The age restrictions for NCERT Recruitment 2024 is given below-

Assistant Editors-

• The maximum age limit is 50 years.

Proof Readers-

• The maximum age limit is 45 years.

DTP Operators-

• The maximum age limit is 42 years.

Qualification for NCERT Recruitment 2024:

The given below are the qualifications for NCERT Recruitment 2024.

For Assistant Editors-

• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University.
• Candidates must have a Post Graduate Diploma in Book Publishing/Mass Communication/Journalism, where editing is one of the subjects.
• Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in editing, producing planning and supervising publications, especially school textbooks, monographs and reports in a responsible capacity.
• Candidates must have a knowledge of book production techniques and modern processes of printing and typography and should be proficient in English/Hindi/Urdu.

Desirable–

• Candidates must have word processing and techniques of online editing.

For DTP Operators- 

• Candidates must have Graduation in any subject.
• Candidates must have One Year Diploma/Certificate course in desktop publishing from a recognized institute.
• The applicant must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a publishing house of repute preferably in textbook making.
• Candidates must have Proficiency in In-design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Equation Editor and Microsoft Word, including Excel and Page-maker.
• Candidates must be proficient in typing both in Hindi and English.

Desirable–

• Candidates must have a knowledge of Quark Express and Corel Draw.
• Candidates must have a knowledge of prepress preparation.

For Proof Reader- 

• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree either in English/Hindi/Urdu.
• Candidates must have at least 01-year experience of working in a Printing or Publishing organization as a Copy Holder/proofreader.
• Candidates must have a working knowledge of Computer.

Desirable–

• Candidates must have a knowledge of Typography.

Tenure for NCERT Recruitment 2024:

In accordance with the official notification of NCERT Recruitment 2024, the appointment is for a period of 04 years.

Selection Procedure for NCERT Recruitment 2024:

The interview/skill test will be conducted to choose the right applicant for NCERT Recruitment 2024.

Date of Screening and registration of Candidate- 01.02.2024 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Venue– Publication Division, NCERT, Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi-110016.

Date for Skill Test-

• For Assistant Editor- 03.02.2024.
• For Proof Reader- 02.02.2024.
• For DTP Operators- 02.02.204 and 03.02.2023.
