Post Name and Vacancies for NCERT Recruitment 2024:

The National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) is recruiting willing candidates for the post of Assistant Editors, Proof Readers and DTP Operators. There are 170 openings to be filled for NCERT Recruitment 2024.

Age Limit for NCERT Recruitment 2024:

The age limit to apply for NCERT Recruitment 2024 is listed below-

• The maximum age limit is 50 years to apply for the post of Assistant Editor.
• The maximum age limit is 45 years to apply for the post of DTP Operator.
• The maximum age limit is 42 years to apply for the post of Proofreader.

Salary for NCERT Recruitment 2024:

The selected candidates for NCERT Recruitment 2024 will be given a monthly salary as given below-

• The selected candidates for Assistant Editor will be given a monthly salary of Rs.80000.
• The selected candidates for DTP Operators will be given a monthly salary of Rs.50000.
• The selected candidates for Proof Readers will be given a monthly salary of Rs.37000.

Qualification and Experience for NCERT Recruitment 2024:

Candidates must have the required qualifications and experience for applying to NCERT Recruitment 2024 as described below-

For Assistant Editors-

• The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University.
• The applicant must have a Post Graduate Diploma in Book Publishing/Mass Communication/Journalism, where editing is one of the subjects.
• The applicant must have at least 5 years of experience in editing, producing planning and supervising publications, especially school textbooks, monographs and reports in a responsible capacity.
• The applicant must have a knowledge of book production techniques and modern processes of printing and typography and should be proficient in English/Hindi/Urdu.

Desirable-

• The applicant must have word processing and techniques of online editing.

For DTP Operators- 

• The applicant must have Graduation in any subject.
• The applicant must have One Year Diploma/Certificate course in desktop publishing from a recognized institute.
• The applicant must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a publishing house of repute preferably in textbook making.
• The applicant must have Proficiency in In-design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Equation Editor and Microsoft Word, including Excel and Page-maker.
• The applicant must be proficient in typing both in Hindi and English.

Desirable-

• The applicant must have a knowledge of Quark Express and Corel Draw.
• The applicant must have a knowledge of prepress preparation.

For Proof Reader- 

• The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree either in English/Hindi/Urdu.
• The applicant must have at least 01-year experience of working in a Printing or Publishing organization as a Copy Holder/proofreader.
• The applicant must have a working knowledge of Computer.

Desirable-

• The applicant must have a knowledge of Typography.

Tenure for NCERT Recruitment 2024:

The appointment of NCERT Recruitment 2024 is made on a contract basis and the selected candidates will be appointed for a period of 04 years.

Selection Process for NCERT Recruitment 2024:

The candidates will be selected for NCERT Recruitment 2024 on the basis of a skill test/interview. There will be no TA/DA paid for attending the interview.

Interview Schedule for NCERT Recruitment 2024:

The interview/skill test for NCERT Recruitment 2024 is listed below-

• Date of Screening and registration of Candidate- 01.02.2024 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Venue- Publication Division, NCERT, Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi-110016.

• The date of the skill test for Assistant Editor is 03.02.2024.
• The date of the skill test for Proof Reader is 02.02.2024.
• The dates of the skill test for DTP Operators are 02.02.204 and 03.02.2023.

According to the official notification of NCERT Recruitment 2024, desirous and willing candidates can register themselves at the venue of the skill test/interview.
