According to the official notification of ISRO Recruitment 2024, interested and eligible candidates are invited to apply for the positions of Scientist/ Engineer ‘SC’ in various Specializations, Medical Officer ‘SC, Nurse ‘B and Library Assistant ‘A’. There are a total of 41 vacancies available for the mentioned positions. Out of 41 vacancies, 35 are for the post of Scientist/ Engineer SC, whereas 01 of these vacancies has been rolled out to the Medical Officer SC post. While 2 vacancies are for Nurse B, the remaining 3 vacancies are for the position of Library Assistant A.

Essential Qualification for ISRO Recruitment 2024: 

In accordance with the official notification of ISRO Recruitment 2024, the required essential qualifications of the candidates are mentioned below:

For Scientist/ Engineer-SC (Agriculture)-

• The candidates should have an M.E. or M.Tech. in Remote Sensing and GIS / Geoinformatics or equivalent With a B.Sc in Agriculture (4 years course).

For Scientist/ Engineer-SC (Forestry and Ecology)-

• The candidates must have an M.Sc in Botany / Forestry or equivalent With a B.Sc in Botany / Forestry / Ecology.

For Scientist/ Engineer-SC (Geoinformatics)-

• The candidates should have an M.Sc. in Geoinformatics or equivalent With B.Sc. in Physics/ Maths.

For Medical Officer ‘SC’-

• The candidates must have MBBS + 2 years of Experience. (MBBS Qualification should be recognized and registered with the Medical Council of India).

For Library Assistant ‘A’-

• The candidates must graduate with a First Class + First Class Master’s Degree in Library Science, Library and Information Science, or equivalent from a recognized university or institution.

For Nurse ‘B’- 

• The candidates must have SSLC/SSC + First Class Diploma of three years duration in General Nursing and Midwifery recognized by State/Central Government (Nursing qualification should be registered with respective State Nursing Councils).

Pay Scale for ISRO Recruitment 2024: 

As stated in the official notification of ISRO Recruitment 2024, the selected candidates for given positions will be paid a monthly salary up to Rs.44900 to Rs.177500. 

Application Fee for ISRO Recruitment 2024: 

Based on the official notification of ISRO Recruitment 2024, the application fee is Rs.250. However, all candidates must initially pay a processing fee of Rs.750 per application, while women/SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen candidates are excused from paying the application price. The processing cost will be refunded to candidates who take the written test, as described below-

• The amount of Rs.750 full refund for candidates who are exempt from paying the application fee (women/SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen).
• The amount of Rs.500 is refunded after deducting the Application Fee for all other candidates.

Mode of Selection for ISRO Recruitment 2024: 

As given in the official notification of ISRO Recruitment 2024, the candidates will be chosen based on written tests, interviews and Skill tests. Written Tests purely for short-listing purposes may be conducted on a need basis. The final selection will be based on marks scored in the Interview. Based on the performance in the Written Test, candidates will be shortlisted for the Interview/ Skill Test, generally in a 1:5 ratio with a minimum of 10 candidates to the category-wise number of vacancies.
