New GST Return Form released on GST Portal

The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) has released the New GST Return Form on the GST Portal for filing of information by manufacturers of Pan Masala and Tobacco taxpayers.

Please refer to Notification No. 04/2024 – Central Tax, dated 05-01-2024, to get information from taxpayers dealing in the items indicated. This notification includes two forms: GST SRM-I and GST SRM-II.

The former deals with machine registration and disposal, whilst the latter requests information on inputs and outputs during a given month. Form GST SRM-I, which is used to register machines, is now available on the web as of May 15, 2024. Concerned taxpayers use it to register machines and provide other information as requested.

Now, the second form namely, Form GST SRM-II is also available on the portal. Taxpayers associated with the manufacture of Pan Masala and Tobacco products can now submit information on inputs and outputs purchased and consumed during the relevant month.
