New Year Resolution that every CA Student should make

Hi Friends,

Today is the Last day of year 2019. While welcoming year 2020, I would like to share some of the resolutions which a CA Student should make. Trust me you would find this helpful.

1. Try to Study from ICAI Material instead of asking for notes and charts.

Friends this is something I really believe in. I have seen many CA Students asking for notes and charts of various teachers. We should understand that as a CA Student ICAI Material is best. Instead of asking for notes from others,do self study and make your own notes. This is the best tip for passing CA Exam.

2. Develop habit of reading from bare Act.

Friends, understand that once you become CA, you cannot give reply of your client queries from teachers notes. At that time, nobody, but bare Act will help you. That is the reason, you should Develop habit of reading and understanding bare Act, so that you don’t face problem later.

3. Stop blaming ICAI for your failures.

Yes, guys. You need to grow up and start taking responsibilities of your failure. Then only you can become a good Chartered Accountant.

4. First Attempt is a golden attempt.

I am not saying, that if you fail once, you should not give CA Exam. I am only requesting you to take your first attempt very seriously and give your hundred percent. See Scientifically it is said that we tend to give our best in our first try as our mind is fresh at that time. So I just want you to not to give your First attempt in haste.

5. Learn from your failures.

CA Teaches you that failures are also good. So friends, learn from your failures, find your mistakes and rectify them. After all even Newton did not find Law of Gravity in his first attempt.

6. While studying make your own schedule.

Friends these days I have seen many students following schedules given by others. Infact there are various telegram channels that say to follow their schedule to pass exams. Please understand these all are just tactics and publicity stunts. No one but you know how your mind works. For example some like to study in early morning and others at night. So you need to plan study as per your mind needs. First know yourself instead of following others.

For example When I was a student I used to study theory in morning and cover practical at night. But again it depends on person to person.

7. Give time to writing practice! You should know how you will complete your paper in the allocated time. 

This is a very important part of your preparation. you should have a practice as to how you will write in exam and how you will complete your paper in the allocated time. If possible give mock tests before exam to test your skills.

8. Make Short terms plans appreciate yourself when you achieve them.

CA Students usually dont appreciate themselves very much. So it is important, that you work on short term strategies. Also short term strategies will help you achieve your long term goal which is CA.

9. Revision is must.

It is tendency of human mind that we tend to forget what we have learnt. So revision is very important to remember things. Also if you make short notes while studying , then it would be easy and less time taking for you to do revision of that subject.
