NIH Recruitment 2023: National Institute of Hydrology (NIH) is inviting applications from eligible Indian candidates for the post of Research Associate-I, Junior Research Fellow, Project Associate-I and Resource Person (Junior) on a contract basis. As per the NIH Recruitment 2023 official notification, there are 05 vacancies. The selected candidate for the post of Research Associate-I will be appointed up to September, 2023 and the candidate selected for the post of Project Associate-I will be appointed for a tenure of 04 months. The candidates selected for the post of Junior Research Fellow will be appointed for a tenure upto 18.09.2023 or till the termination of the project and the candidate selected for the post of Resource Person (Junior) will be appointed for a tenure of 01 year which can be extendable.
As per the NIH Recruitment 2023 official notification, selected candidates will get a monthly salary up to Rs. 47000. Candidates applying for the post of Research Associate-I and Project Associate-I shall be below the age of 35 years and the candidates applying for the post of Junior Research Fellow should be below the age of 28 years. Interested and eligible candidates have to attend the walk-in interview at NIH, Roorkee on the date mentioned below. As per the NIH Recruitment 2023 official notification, the interview is scheduled for 15 and 16 May 2023.

Research Associate-I
Candidates should have Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Civil Engineering/Water Resources or Sciences having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after M.E/M. Tech in Civil/Water Resources Engineering, Hydrology, Soil & Water Conservation Engg. Earth Sciences, Geoinformatics.
Project Associate-I
Candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Geology/Earth Sciences/RS & GIS Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology, in Civil or Agricultural Engineering.
Junior Research Fellow
Candidates should have Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course in Civil Engg./ Agricultural Engg./Environmental Engg./ Water Resources/Hydrology/Remote Sensing and GIS/Geomatics/Geo-informatics/Earth Science. Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science and Selection through a process described through any one of the following:
a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
Resource Person (Junior)
Candidates should have Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Environmental Sciences/ Environmental Engineering/Hydrology/Water Resources /Agricultural Engineering/Civil Engineering. Persons with higher/additional Qualifications, research experience, published papers, and post-qualification experience in the relevant field would be preferred.

Research Associate-I
The selected candidate will get a monthly salary of Rs. 47000.
Project Associate-I
The selected candidate will get a monthly salary of Rs. 31000/Rs. 25000.
Junior Research Fellow
The selected candidate will get a monthly salary of Rs. 31000.
Resource Person (Junior)
The selected candidate will get a monthly salary of Rs. 20000 to Rs. 40000.
