Reply to this RTI was Submitted on November 26, 2021.

Follow-up to our earlier reply dated 18.09.2021 via RTI Online Portal, in which we stated that the response to your RTI application dated 20.08.2021 would be provided to you in due course.

Your RTI application was reviewed, and the information received from the relevant Department/Committee is as follows:

    • In response to points 1–5, it is said that Team ICAI, led by the President, was invited by the Finance Ministry. On June 22, 2021, ICAI met with the Finance Minister, the CBDT, and the Infosys team to discuss a number of issues about the E-filing platform. The issues assembled on the e-filing portal were transmitted to the CBDT for review.
    • As indicated by the CBDT and the Finance Ministry, a team of seven members (Chartered Accountants) appointed by the ICAI from across India is talking on e-filing portal concerns in the presence of an Infosys team. These representatives have regular one-on-one interactions with the CBDT and Infosys teams via e-media to address issue resolution. According to the comments provided by stakeholders, the process of rectification and improvement is currently underway. The issues are being addressed at CBDT meetings. The Team does not publish a formal list of issues. However, difficulties are frequently noted in discussions with the Infosys staff. The CBDT and Infosys are working together to resolve the difficulties and technical glitches. The Team has not been given a timetable. Officials from the ITD and Infosys are working hard to address the concerns of stakeholders.

If you are dissatisfied with the information provided, you may file an appeal with the RTI ICAI’s Additional Director and First Appellate Authority.
