OPSC Recruitment 2023: Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has invited Online Applications from the Candidates duly Eligibility for Recruitment to the Post of Assistant Director of Factories & Boilers in Group A (Junior Branch) of Odisha Factories and Boilers Inspection Service Cadre under the Labor and Employees’ State Insurance Department. The OPSC notified the Post of Assistant Director of Factories & Boilers in Group A (Junior Branch) for Odisha Factories and Boilers Inspection Service Cadre under the Labor and Employees’ State Insurance Department carries Pay Scale Level 12.
As per the OPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification, There are 09 Vacancies including 05 Vacancies earmarked for Un-Reserved Category Candidates inclusive of 02 Posts reserved for Women.
The Online Application Submission Process shall commence on 25th January 2022 (25.01.2022). The Last Date for the Eligible and Intending Candidates shall terminate on 24th February 2023 (24.02.2023).

Vacancy: 09 Vacancies including 05 Vacancies earmarked for Un-Reserved Category Candidates with 02 Posts for Women inclusive therein.
i) General Merit Candidates (As On 01.08.2023) should be Minimum 21 Years and Maximum 38 Years.

Educational Qualifications:
The Candidate should have in possession of the following Educational Qualifications:
i) Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology (Mechanical Engineering) from any duly recognized University or any Qualification gained from any of the Government of India accredited universities or Equivalent institutions.
ii) Minimum 02-Years Practical Experience in any Workshop or Manufacturing Concern of Repute/Good Standing or in Design, Construction, or Operation of Competent Authority of the Workshop of Manufacturing Concern, where the Candidates gathered Practical Experience.
Other Eligibility Conditions:
The Candidate must also
i) be able to read, write and speak Odia Dialect and
ii) have passed Middle Matriculation Examination (M.E.) School Examination/Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Examination with Odia as a Language Subject conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Or any Higher Examination conducted by the Competent Authority; Or
ii) have passed in Odia as a Language Subject in the Final Examination of Class VII from any School Or Education Institution duly recognized by the Central Government or the Government of Odisha;
iii) have passed High School Certificate (Matriculate) Examination with Odia as a Medium of Examination in Non-Language Subjects; Or
iv) have passed a Test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the School and Mass Education Department (SMED).
Selection on to the Post of Assistant Director of Factories and Boilers in Group ‘A’ (Junior Branch) of Odisha Factories and Boilers Inspection Service Cadre under the Labor & ESI Department consists of 02 Stages followed by Merit List Preparation.
Stage I: Written Examination with 2 Hours’ Examination Duration for each Paper comprises 02 Papers. Paper I (General Studies and Mental Ability) shall comprise 100 Multiple Choice for Maximum 100 Marks. Paper II (Mechanical Engineering) fir 200 Marks comprises 100 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions.
There shall be a Negative Marking of ¼ (0.25) for every Wrong Answer/Multiple Answers submitted by the Candidates.
Stage II: Interview for 30 Marks.
And Finally Document Verification in respect of the Candidates placed on the Merit List.
