"CBDT issues refunds of more than Rs. 1,29,210 crore to over 1.15 crore taxpayers from 1st Apr 2021 to 29th November 2021," the I-T department tweeted.
The Central Board of Direct Taxes refunds approximately Rs. 1,29,210 crore to over 1.15 crore taxpayers From April 1st 2021 to November 29th 2021. Income tax refunds totaling Rs. 42,981 crore were issued in 1,13,14,007 cases, while corporate tax refunds totaling Rs. 86,228 crore were awarded in 1,93,002 cases.
This includes 79.70 lakh refunds for fiscal year 2021-22 totaling Rs. 16,691.50 crore.
