PAN Misuse: Labourer slapped with Income Tax Notice of Rs 8 crore

The Income Tax department served a notice to a laborer for the recovery of Rs.8 crores in an astonishing event. The person, who works as a laborer, is from Bulandshahr, an area of Uttar Pradesh.

The laborer believed that his paperwork was mishandled in Delhi, where he recently traveled in search of work and turned in his paperwork to a business.

The police are looking into all the details of the case, according to Bulandshahr SSP Shlok Kumar.

According to reports, a business transferred goods to South Africa while presenting the worker’s documentation. The laborer informed the police after receiving the notification.

Ankur Kumar, a resident of the Gulavathi area’s Baral hamlet, has been identified as the laborer. When looking for work, Kumar admitted to the police that he had handed someone his diplomas and other identification documents.

The victim claimed that getting a letter from the Income Tax Department surprised him. It is claimed that by providing his documents, a bank account was formed, and an 8.64 crore rupee transaction was done using it.

Ankur Kumar said he was innocent of all charges and was unaware of the bank account that bore his name.
