In a late-night operation, the Pimpri-Chinchwad police busted an alleged Share E-Trading fraud operating from a bungalow in Lonavla. Four young individuals were taken into custody as part of the investigation.
The accused have been recognised as Monilal Atulkumar Modi (24 years old) from Mehsana (Gujarat); Ravi Gokul Prasad Jat (21 years old) from Rajgarh (Madhya Pradesh); Rudrapal Singh Chouhan (22 years old) from Khandwa (Madhya Pradesh); and Hansh Verma (19 years old) from Borivli. The police commissioner (Vinoy Kumar Choubey) officially stated that the group was managing second-layer bank accounts connected to the fraudulent activities.
The arrests were carried out by a team led by Senior Inspector Ravikiran Nale, along with Assistant Inspector Pravin Swami. The action came while investigating a case registered at Sangvi Police Station (Pimpri-Chinchwad, Maharashtra), where a person had been duped of 98 lakh in December 2024 through online share trading.
